  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground dried chipotle pepper
  • 1 rack baby back pork ribs
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce

Instructions:

Achieve mouthwatering, fall-off-the-bone BBQ baby back ribs with this easy baked ribs recipe. Perfect for weekend grilling or a family dinner, these ribs are packed with smoky flavors and a sweet BBQ glaze.

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine ancho chile powder, white sugar, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cumin, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, and chipotle pepper to create a homemade dry rub.
  3. Place the baby back ribs meat-side down on aluminum foil. Prick the back of the rib rack several times with a knife to allow flavors to penetrate.
  4. Generously coat all sides of the rib rack with the dry rub.
  5. Fold the foil tightly around the ribs, meat-side down, and transfer to a sheet pan.
  6. Bake for 2 hours until the ribs are tender and cooked through. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes.
  7. Increase oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Open the foil, drain and discard any accumulated juices and fat. Brush barbeque sauce on all sides of the rack.
  9. Place the ribs meat-side up and return to the oven, leaving the foil open. Bake for 10 minutes, then brush another layer of BBQ sauce on the meat side only. Repeat this process 4 more times, for a total of 50 minutes of baking time.
  10. Cut the rack into individual rib segments and serve with extra barbeque sauce.

Enjoy these tender BBQ ribs that are sure to impress your guests!
