Ingredients
- 2 packages (8 oz each) softened cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained very well
- ½ cup chopped green onions
- ½ cup chopped green pepper
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 cups chopped pecans (divided)
- Assorted crackers for serving
Instructions
FIRST STEP: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gently fold in the drained crushed pineapple, chopped green onions, and chopped green pepper.
SECOND STEP: Add the seasoning salt and lemon pepper seasoning, mixing until well combined. Stir in ½ cup chopped pecans.
THIRD STEP: Place the mixture on a sheet of plastic wrap. Roll and shape the cheese into a ball. Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
FOURTH STEP: Just before serving, roll the cheeseball in the remaining chopped pecans. Place it on a plate and surround with assorted crackers. Serve and enjoy this sweet and savory appetizer!
