Easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders Recipe: Perfect for Game Day or Weeknight Dinners

If you’re anything like me this time of year, you’re likely searching for easy recipes that feed your family without sacrificing flavor. Whether it’s for a game day party, a casual get-together with neighbors, or a fun gift exchange with loved ones, simplicity is key. While ordering takeout from favorite local spots is always tempting, there’s something special about crafting homemade dishes like sandwiches and dips that everyone can enjoy.

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are the ultimate solution for a quick weeknight dinner or game-day finger food. They’re a mini, bite-sized twist on the classic cheesesteak sandwich, packed with all the flavors you love.

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages sweet rolls
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 14 ounces shaved steak
  • ½ cup jarred cheese dip
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Fresh black pepper (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)

Preparation:

Step 1 – Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2 – Using a serrated knife, slice both packages of rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls intact. Place the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish and set the tops aside.

Step 3 – In a medium skillet over medium heat, add 1 Tbsp olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced onion and bell pepper, seasoning generously with salt and pepper.

Step 4 – Cook the onions until translucent, then reduce the heat and caramelize the onions and peppers, stirring frequently. Lower the heat further if the onions start to brown.

Step 5 – While the vegetables cook, heat the remaining olive oil in a large pan over high heat. Season the shaved steak with salt and pepper.

Step 6 – Once the oil is hot, sear the steak for 1-2 minutes per side, just until cooked. It’s okay if it’s not fully cooked through. Transfer the steak to a large bowl and set aside.

Step 7 – Once the onions and peppers are caramelized, add them to the bowl with the steak and toss to combine.

Step 8 – Microwave the cheese dip for 30 seconds or until warm and spreadable.

Step 9 – Spread the cheese dip on both cut sides of the rolls. Layer the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the bottom buns, then cover with the top buns.

Step 10 – Mix the dried parsley into the melted butter and brush it evenly over the top buns.

Step 11 – Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.

Enjoy these delicious Philly Cheesesteak Sliders as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or a satisfying main dish!
