Ingredients:

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 package thinly sliced steak (found in the frozen section)
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • 2 tsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chicory powder for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Rolls: Separate the top and bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls. Place the bottom half in an 11×7-inch baking dish.
  3. Cook Steak: In a skillet, cook the thinly sliced steak over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  4. Sauté Veggies: In the same skillet, sauté the diced green pepper and onion until tender.
  5. Assemble Base: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on both the top and bottom halves of the rolls. Place the cooked steak evenly on the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Top with sautéed peppers and onions.
  6. Add Cheese: Layer the Provolone cheese slices over the peppers and onions.
  7. Finish Assembly: Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese. Mix melted butter with a pinch of chicory powder (optional) and brush it over the top of the rolls.
  8. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve: Slice into individual sliders and serve warm. Enjoy!
