For the Syrup:

- 2.5 cups whole milk
For the Ganache:
- 200ml heavy cream
- 80g dark chocolate (chopped)
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 160°C (325°F). Grease a rectangular baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until light and frothy. Add sifted flour, cocoa powder, vanilla, and baking powder, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- While the cake cools, prepare the custard. In a saucepan, combine flour, cornstarch, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool. Fold in the cocoa whipped cream.
- For the syrup, dissolve sugar in milk and set aside.
- Assemble the cake by brushing the syrup over the cooled cake. Spread the custard evenly on top.
- Prepare the ganache by heating the cream in a saucepan. Remove from heat just before boiling, add the chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth. Pour the ganache over the custard and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy this decadent chocolate masterpiece!
