Creamy Cajun Shrimp Scampi Recipe: Easy, Flavorful, and Perfect for Pasta Lovers
Ingredients
- 12 raw shrimp (adjust to preference)
- 1 serving of linguine pasta
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp. ghee
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Grated Parmesan cheese (to taste)
- 1/8 tsp. dried basil
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp. flour (for thickening)
- 1 tsp. Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ghee, olive oil, and white wine, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
Add raw shrimp to the pan and generously season with Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp turn pink on one side, then flip and cook for another minute. Remove shrimp from the pan, leaving the liquid.
Stir in heavy cream, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil and gradually whisk in flour to thicken the sauce.
Reduce heat to medium-low and return the shrimp to the pan, coating them in the creamy sauce.
Serve the Cajun shrimp scampi over cooked linguine pasta, generously topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
