Ingredients:
- 4 large bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- ¼ teaspoon salt (or less)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- ½–1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning (or similar)
- 1 Maggi cube, crushed (or 1 teaspoon Knorr seasoning)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
- 1 lemon
Instructions:
- Wash the chicken thighs thoroughly with the juice of ½ lemon. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, paprika, Cajun seasoning, and crushed Maggi cube. Add olive oil and combine into a paste.
- Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring every part is coated. Wear gloves for easier handling. Marinate for 2 hours or proceed immediately if short on time.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken thighs skin-side up in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and cook for another 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Total cooking time for large thighs is approximately 27 minutes.
- *Cooking times may vary based on chicken size and air fryer model. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
