Ingredients:
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Toll House Morsel semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 cups pecans (chopped)
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 (14 oz) bag of caramel
- 1 1/3 cups water (or as required for cake mix)
- 1/3 cup oil (or as required for cake mix)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 box (18 ounces) German chocolate cake mix
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.
- Prepare the cake batter according to package directions and pour half into the pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the caramel, 3/4 cup butter, and evaporated milk in a saucepan, then pour over the baked cake.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped pecans over the caramel mixture.
- Pour the remaining cake batter on top and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
